Hi I'm Lesley The Liaison RN! I live in the Pacific Northwest and I'm excited to offer the tools you'll need to successfully communicate with your healthcare team. All to often patients don't feel like they are being heard, and we nurses struggle with this as well! (....and we even know the lingo!)
My mission is to use the knowledge I have learned, in over 19 years of nursing, to help patients and their families feel more confident and comfortable communicating with their healthcare team. For instance, being better prepared for upcoming appointments, know what to expect for surgery (before, during, and after), and how to be ready for an unforeseen medical emergency.
In practice I use, and support, alternative modalities to help my patients heal. Here I will give you some basic information to learn about these alternative practices, and I'm happy to be your guide if you choose this as a path you would like to explore further.
I am a Masters prepared Registered Nurse who understands the complexity of healthcare. I am recognized as a member of The American Nurses Association, American Cannabis Nurses Association, and Alliance of Professional Health Advocates, and adhere to their Standards of Practice and Code of Conduct. I am a Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse, and currently working on becoming a Board Certified Patient Advocate.
My goal is to inform you on how to be the best advocate for yourself and your family. However, if you're in need of more personalized guidance please see the services I offer!
